Headshot of Claire StuckeyHow I Can Help

As an integrative practitioner, I work from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective. The mind and body are inseparable. Integrative mental health care makes use of all available scientifically proven alternative methods in combination with conventional therapies to support whole person healing and maintain optimal health. I regard the interactions of mind and body as central to the healing process and whole health.

I believe people heal when they are seen as whole and complete. I acknowledge the sacredness of the therapeutic relationship, the power of the “healer within” each person, the powerful healing capacity of a healthy mind, and the influence of lifestyle habits on whole person health. All topics you bring to our sessions will inform your healing.

My work with you comes from a strengths-based perspective focused on possibilities for your optimal physical and mental health. I consider a variety of approaches for whole person wellness strategies for concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, chronic health conditions, life transitions, and illness prevention. My goal as a counselor/psychotherapist and/or health coach is to offer new and unbiased perspectives as you make lasting lifestyle behavioral changes that you decide are needed for your greater sense of well-being.

As a counselor/psychotherapist, I use psychological techniques designed to encourage communication of conflicts and insights into problems, with the goal of relieving symptoms, changes in behavior that lead to improved functioning in all aspects of your life, and your growth as a person. As a coach, I support your achievement of specific personal/professional goals by asking challenging questions to help you discover your own answers. Whether in counseling/psychotherapy, coaching, or both, together we help you discover new ways of being based on your own values, preferences, and perspectives.
